"Deeds not words"

Introduction

Currently Hillside College offers South african Matric and N-Series. We also offer programmes with ABMA and City & Guilds of UK. Upgrading (Form 5) classes for the local (EGCSE) syllabus are also offered.

Matric

We offer a South African (NCS and CAPS) matriculation curriculum from grade 10-12. The matriculants will be sitting for their final examinations from October to December after which they receive a National Senior Certificate.

Students are expected to take a minimum of eight (8) subjects of which four (4) are compulsory.

N - Series

The N-series (South Africa) is a scheme designed for further enhancement the availability of education.

It has steadily achieved popularity, reputation and thus, un-doubtfully, worldwide accreditation. This can be confirmed by looking at the advertised positions in the engineering field; qualifications in the N-series field are mostly demanded.

The N-series has TRIMESTER schedule. Which means that a total of three months per level is spend on lecture, two weeks on exams (for full time students).

A minimum of four (4) subjects is required in each level, this must include the compulsory subjects (*) and a choice from the optional subjects (!), to obtain a certificate for a level.

The yearly schedule is such that a maximum of three levels can be done in a year. A year consists of the following academic calendar, JANUARY-APRIL, MAY-AUGUST, and SEPTEMBER- DECEMBER.

ABMA
